The Role
As Design’s Head of Practice, you will be responsible to drive how we work and collaborate. You will:
- Help set the standard for our practices focused on improving the way we work, especially as a cross-functional team.
- Build the necessary templates and tools to help us transform our work towards a more collaborative environment focused on co-creation.
- Build the necessary training programs to help individuals and teams use these templates and tools more independently and effectively.
- Help work across the organization, alongside the design leadership team, to make the case for a more collaborative and co-creation based way of working. This includes conversations with the product management, engineering, and other teams to help educate and show the value of a new remote-first work environment.
You are:
- Self-starter that’s able to clearly understand the gaps in the way we work and build solutions to help us improve.
- You are passionate about multiplying your impact by helping leaders across the organization become better facilitators.
- A clear communicator who is able to articulate their message to small and large groups alike.
- Great facilitator who’s able to run workshops, drive sessions, and develop learning programs for teams and individuals.
You have:
- Led practice at design or other teams before.
- Worked with enterprise design teams or organizations.
- Worked to deliver solutions that work in a remote environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills that make it easier for individuals and teams to work with you and take a lead from your work.
- 10+ Years of experience
- Bachelor’s or equivalent work experience
- Care deeply about design and user experience
- Experience with project delivery for large, cross functional projects involving partner teams inside and outside your organization
