Role
The Senior Executive Assistant position provides executive administrative support and services to the Chief Strategy Officer and his team, and other members of the senior executive team at Splunk (as needed). The role is based in our Santana Row office with frequent commute to our SF office. In addition to supporting to the head of strategy & business operations, this position is a part of the team that supports the “office of the CEO” and works collaboratively with the rest of the senior executive team and their EAs to drive Splunk’s business and operational cadence
Responsibilities
- Provide varied administrative support to the executive, including but limited to – preparing letters, memos, reports and other documents as needed and directed.
- Responsible for coordinating schedules by making or accepting appointments; establishing agendas; arranging and coordinating domestic and international business travel and personal travel
- Screens phone calls and incoming mail. This may include summarizing the content of incoming materials or specially gathered information. Additionally, this may entail investigating issues and summarizing complete information and/or drawing attention to important parts or conflicts
- Acts as a liaison for the executive and for the office of the CEO, working collaboratively with the CEO’s EA and their executive communications director. This includes relaying and exchanging information with others including but not limited to: Board members, investors, senior Executive leaders, customers and clients, local and national media, and other organizations or constituents.
- With direction, compose correspondence requiring knowledge of the executive and company views, philosophy and some understanding of business matters. This position may sign for the executive upon authorization of consent
- Interprets requests and assists in implementing action, as well as determines, whether the executive should be immediately notified of matters as appropriate. In the executive’s absence, relays requests for action or information to the appropriate person, internal or external of the Company
- May conduct various analytical special projects, especially involving budgets and preparations for Board and senior leadership meetings, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
- Maintains confidence, keeping sensitive information, for which this position is privy, confidential
- Prepares special reports, summaries or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant information from a variety of sources. May assist in the research, analysis and interpretation of data under direction

Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
