Position Description:

SPN Solutions is seeking to hire a senior level, skilled Informatics Specialist is to support ongoing critical requirements with one of our Defense customers in Bethesda, MD. Informatics Specialist will be responsible for applying concepts in computer science and information technology to the management and processing of data, information, and knowledge in a clinical environment. The Informatics Specialist will function as part of a team, inclusive of customers, and must demonstrate sufficient written and communication skills to ensure success.

Required Experience/Skills:

• Secret Clearance
• Security
• 2-4 year of direct experience with: Essentris, Cerner SmartSuite, ALTA, CHCS, Clinicomp, OTTR, Karl Stores, Vocera, GDR
• Experience with EHR systems preferred
• CompTIA HIT certificate preferred

Primary Job Duties:

• Demonstrate experience and ability to apply concepts in computer science and information technology to the management and processing of data, information, and knowledge in a clinical environment.
• Assist in the administration and management of Clinical Information Systems both for the processing of electronic health records and PHI data, as well as hands on technical systems support in areas such as Network and VPN management, DICOM, PKI, and server maintenance and management.
• Coordinate and input data collection for clinical systems.
• Proactively assist users with clinical systems problems or questions via telephone, in person and/or email.
• Troubleshoot system problems and assist users in overcoming difficulties.
• Develop advanced ad hoc data reports from large and complex data sets as requested by clients.
• Assist with electronic medical record (EMR)/ Clinical Applications maintenance and optimization in joint venture with site end-users, director, managers, and engineering teams.
