To perform a variety of maintenance and service activities to maintain the buildings and grounds.

EQUIPMENT OPERATION REQUIRED:
Directly supervises and trains seasonal employees.
- Identify and maintain inventory control of maintenance equipment and supplies, and prepare surplus/salvage materials for disposal.
- Perform painting, repair drywall, locksets, plumbing fixtures and light fixtures.
- Perform procurement and oversee maintenance contracts for all property, equipment, HVAC and plumbing systems, and landscaping of Airport Business Park properties.
- Maintain irrigation systems, control noxious weeds, collect and dispose of litter.
- Assemble, install and repair office furniture, countertops and cabinetry.
- Plan and provide snow removal and ice control services.
- Install/repair signs and fencing, patch concrete and asphalt.
- Perform minor maintenance on vehicles and equipment as required.
- Schedule work assignments for assigned staff members.
- Maintain a safe working environment and report job-related accidents or injuries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Four years building/equipment maintenance/repair or construction experience.
- Lift truck certification, or obtain within 90 days from the date of hire.
- Washington State Pesticide Applicator License, or obtain within 90 days from the date of hire.
- Valid state driver license, with Class B CDL or higher (or to be obtained within 12 months of hire), free of serious or frequent traffic violations.
- Preferred:
- Some college or technical school in related field.
- Contract administration experience.
- Supervisory experience.
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification, Spokane County 3rd Class Boiler Operator License, or Washington State Electrical License (07 or 06A).
- Deliver excellent internal and external customer service.
- Present in a professional manner and with excellent interpersonal skills in order to establish and maintain working relationships with others including co-workers, contractors, direct reports, and the public.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Be a self-starter and able to work independently and with a team.
- Exercise sound judgment within general policy guidelines.
- Read and understand a variety of informational documentation, directions, instructions, methods and procedures, Must be able to read and interpret technical data and resolve technical/mechanical problems.
- Must have knowledge of electrical and mechanical applications, purchasing and vehicle operations.
- Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities and multiple concurrent assignments.
- Manage a project from concept to production.
- Organize information into a coherent and meaningful format with attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Make immediate sound decisions under stressful conditions.
- Have basic computer skills.
- Coordinate use of Airport resources, work independently and use good judgment.
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push and pull objects up to 100 pounds.
- Job functions require sitting for extended periods, standing and walking frequently, and stooping, kneeling, bending, lifting, carrying, climbing and reaching occasionally. Must be able to traverse rough terrain, climb ladders, and crawl through small spaces.
- Extensive wrist and hand movements required for use of tools and equipment.
- Ability to perform close work to read and use computer required. Requires distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to continuously exchange information through listening and talking with customers, coworkers, and other individuals required.

- Subject to a ten (10) year background check for security clearance.

WORKING CONDITIONS, TRAVEL, ENVIRONMENT AND POTENTIAL HAZARDS:
Travel in local area. Attend continuing education. Work performed primarily in and around the Airport Business Park facilities, occasionally in high, precarious places. Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes and airborne particles, and occasional weather extremes. Some exposure to electrical shock risk and vibration. Moderately noisy to loud work environment. Hearing protection and safety glasses provided and required for some tasks.
EQUIPMENT OPERATION REQUIRED:
Various types of snow removal equipment, power sweepers, concrete saws, airport vehicles, welding equipment and various hand power tools.
