What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trivia Host (Entertainer) position at Sporcle?
Sporcle Events is hiring Trivia Hosts!Sporcle Events is the largest trivia company in the country that offers in-person events at bars and restaurants. This is a PART-TIME position:
- You’ll be expected to facilitate a fun and engaging event that inspires players to return every week
- You’ll work approximately 3 hours, one evening per week (to start), on the same day at the same time
- You’ll be expected to develop relationships with management and staff at our partner venues
Note: We do not offer seasonal employment. We’re looking for hosts who can stay and grow with us for at least 6 months - hopefully more!
What we’re looking for:
- YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD
- You should be approachable, enthusiastic, comfortable with public speaking, and able to develop relationships easily
- You must have a laptop that is HDMI-portadaptable and capable of running a slide show (PowerPoint)
- You must have an ad-free music service (Spotify/Apple Music, etc.)
- You must be able to commit to one weekly event for at least 6 months (one night weekly on the same day and time)
- You must be able to lift and reliably transport sound equipment to the venue each week (equipment weighs approximately 35 pounds)
What's the pay?
- New hosts earn $60-80 per 3-hour event (based on event participation)
- Veteran hosts earn up to $105 per event
- Hosts may earn more by hosting additional weekly and private events!
