The Coordinator is the first person to greet the Client, giving the first impression of the Sport Clips store. A friendly, calm voice and genuine smile are vital to the Coordinator's success. The Coordinator's attitude and behavior sets the tone for the Client's entire experience at Sport Clips. The Coordinator is to: Coordinate the efficient and smooth operation of the reception area and cutting floor. Coordinate communication between Clients and Team Members. Maintain the retail display and reception area in a clean and organized manner. Assist management in handling dissatisfied Client situations. Participate in local neighborhood marketing. The Coordinator's responsibilities can be categorized into three areas based on priority: Priority #1 - The Client The Coordinator's top priority is ensuring that every Client has the best possible experience. Items within this priority trump all other areas of responsibility and include: Immediately greeting the Client as he/she enters the door and making him/her the top priority so he/she is entered in the queue immediately. Ensuring that waiting Clients are comfortable and are kept apprised of their wait times. Checking out the Client immediately following the Stylist’s completion of his/her review of retail products at the front of the cash wrap. Being as helpful as possible to ensure that Clients have a Championship Experience while visiting this location. Priority #2 - The Cutting Floor When no items under Priority #1 are pending, the Coordinator will assist on the cutting floor where he/she will: Vacuum hair from the floor around chairs where Clients have just left, whether to leave the store or to enter the shower. Clean stations following completion of haircut services by removing used towels and equipment, wiping down the chair and countertop, and folding the cape and placing it on the back of the chair so the entire station is ready for the Stylist to return with his/her next Client. If the Coordinator is involved in a Priority #2 activity and a Priority #1 activity arises, such as a Client enters the lobby, he/she is to immediately move to the cash wrap to handle the needs of that Client. He/She may return to the cutting floor and complete the Priority #2 activity task if the Stylist has not completed it. Priority #3 - The Dispensary When no items in Priority #1 or Priority #2 are pending, the Coordinator is to work on Priority #3 items which include: Dump dirty towels from buckets at stations and begin laundry. Fold towels for clean Equipment Packs or steam towels. Make clean Equipment Packs and restock each station. Make steam towels and place them in the warmer. Clean combs and clipper guards. Ensure that each station has an adequate supply of clipper guards. The Coordinator shall cease working on any Priority #3 item when the doorbell chimes, indicating that a new Client has entered the lobby or that a Client's service is complete and he/she is ready to be checked out. The Coordinator shall also listen for indications of a Client entering the Showers, as this would indicate that he is no longer in the cutting chair and it can be cleaned.
