The Staff Writer is responsible for developing ongoing and original written content focused around your school’s athletic department for use in daily email readers sent out every weekday morning. You’ll report directly to the General Manager.
This is a remote opportunity with flexible work hours that revolve around college athletics news, competitions, and updates.

The Staff Writer is responsible for developing ongoing and original written content focused around your school’s athletic department for use in daily email readers sent out every weekday morning. You’ll report directly to the General Manager.
This is a remote opportunity with flexible work hours that revolve around college athletics news, competitions, and updates.
The Staff Writer will:
- Write new and original content that is proofread and copy-edited (for spelling and/or grammar) within the daily email readers that contains some form of multimedia content (i.e., photo or video) to the Email Platform at least five times per week, once each day for emails to be sent every weekday morning at 6:00am local time to your assigned school.
- Reply within a timely manner to all inquiries from the General Manager and its designees.
- Complete all assignments in a timely fashion, make best efforts to ensure that the daily email readers are updated daily, and notify the General Manager (as well as find another Staff Writer to cover daily assignments) in the event that you’re unable to do so.
- Work collaboratively with management to maximize audience engagement and revenue generation in association with the daily email readers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of copywriting experience, preferably in general sports, college athletics, etc.
- 2 years of email marketing experience, preferably with Klaviyo or Mailchimp.
- Previous experience writing on deadline within a team environment in a remote environment.
- Previous experience in social media copywriting and/or management, preferably on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
