We are a growing home builder seeking to add an experienced Permit Coordinator to our dynamic team!
Permit Coordinator
Job Overview:
The Permit Coordinator works as a member of the Permit team as a liaison between clients, engineering, and local, county and state agencies to obtain proper permits for new residential construction projects.
Essential Functions:
- Prepares applications for permit and utilities. Submit assembled applications to include architectural plans, survey and site plan and applicable supporting documents based on construction schedule.
- Coordinates with Accounting to request payments to accompany permit applications, when necessary.
- Promptly corresponds with clients, vendors, and appropriate municipalities to communicate approvals, clarify concerns, address rejections, and move the project forward.
- Delivers applicable permits and communicates status to Construction team in a timely manner.
- Promptly coordinates and orders applicable utilities according to the construction schedule.
- Coordinates with Accounting to facilitate financial draw schedules.
- Promptly engages with applicable municipalities to identify requirements and secures Certificate of Occupancy
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be a self-starter with excellent time management skills to work independently to move projects forward, prioritize tasks, resolve problems, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- One year of experience in related role
Reports to:
- Permit Manager
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42,500.00 - $47,500.00 per year
