Spot Pet Insurance is hiring a Product Designer for its Miami location. This role will support the UI/UX process throughout the project lifecycle on technical aspects of the entire design system and integrations. This individual will alongside Product owners, Development team of Engineers, Business SMEs, various Service owners & Support teams with a key focus to drive innovation and continuously deliver business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Use UX principles to create digital products build on sound technical principles
- Conduct User research, interviews, and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
- Design the overall functionality of our quote forms and marketing landing pages with an eye for personalization.
- A / B testing of prototypes to refine the user experience and increase overall conversion metrics.
- Ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing.
- Work with Product Owners, Stakeholders, and other team members as appropriate to complete assigned special projects.
- Understand and utilize the tools and technologies being used in our technology stack.
- Understand and apply the branding standards to a design system.
- Work with Project Manager to keep on track with the project plan and timeline.
- Work with Developers to implement UX designs from developed prototypes.
- Work with the testing and quality assurance sprints to address any issues.
Requirements
- 4 years of ecommerce experience
- Experience developing beautiful, modern, sophisticated user interfaces
- Ability to solve complex UX problems
- Knowledge of design fundamentals including information design, visual design, industry UI standards for desktop, web-based and mobile applications, and has knowledge of usability best practices.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript frameworks such as React
- Working knowledge of SEO optimization for website properties
- Mobile first approach and ability to build responsive layouts within the context of large-scale applications
- Ability to create reusable, scalable components for implementation across a product family
- Practical understanding of backend technologies and databases
- A deep passion for both code and creativity process
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- High degree of proficiency in Figma
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously of varying size and scope
- Self-motivated, interest in new tools and technology
