Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with deep knowledge of data and analytics technologies, methodologies, architectures and processes. In this role you will be involved in developing and managing the data extraction, storage and wrangling processes, from multiple on premise and cloud sources, and transformation/modeling processes and structures needed to prepare data for analysis and develop dashboards, reports and visualizations that can help the business gain strategic, tactical and operational insights.
The position can be local or remote, but it will require periodic trips to the Spotless Brands Chicago area headquarters, for meetings and workshops.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a key member of the development team responsible for the implementation of the foundational infrastructure of the enterprise data and analytics platform.
- Work closely 3rd party solutions and service providers to support enterprise-wide data architecture and modeling efforts.
- Work with vendors and internal teams to build and maintain custom integrations between SaaS applications, on-premise systems, and the enterprise data and analytics platform.
- Develop and expand the data architectures and pipelines, to optimize the flow of data between operational systems and the enterprise data platform.
- Support stakeholders from various operational and functional teams on enterprise data and analytics initiatives
- Collaborate with members from business and operational teams to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Partner with business stakeholders, analysts and systems administrators to identify data mappings and generate analytics data models.
- Document data models in a centralized location that is highly visible to stakeholders.
- Perform routine administration to keep the enterprise data systems, services and processes secure and healthy.
- Support, train, interface and participate with peers, users and vendors as needed.
- Research, evaluate and recommend emerging data and analytics technologies based on business and operational needs and requirements.
- Participate in proof-of-concept testing.

Education, Work Experience Requirements and/or Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of data architecture, data analysis, data modeling.
- Extensive hands-on experience in data warehousing design, ETL/ELT, BI process development and applying modern data management frameworks and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience implementing full-cycle cloud enterprise data warehousing (EDW) projects.
- Cloud focused with strong enterprise experience in the full Azure data stack (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics); Azure Data Engineer Certification preferred but not required.
- Ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs.
- Expertise in building Automated Data pipelines by Metadata ingestion for analyzing & reporting.
- Hands-on technical experience with BI technologies (Power BI or Tableau).
- Experience with multiple programming, query and scripting languages: C , .Net, SQL, PowerShell, bash, Python.
