Sales Solutions Engineer

We are looking for a high-performing Sales Solutions Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives by assisting our sales team with high growth clients. The Sales Solution Engineer role facilitates, organizes, and provides technical support to the Sales team and their daily operations.  The Sales Solution Engineer (SSE) position will assist the Sales Executives by providing deep technical and product knowledge to help drive potential clients’ excitement in working with SpotOn. The SSE position will also assist the Business Development team with RFP responses, technical questions, and day to day help.

Responsibilities:

  • Product guru on all levels for front of house and back of house solutions
  • Build user stories for enhancement and integration requests
    • Facilitate meetings to support scoping user stories for all development items
    • Custom enhancement project management in coordination with Sales Executive
    • Work with Customer Relationship Managers as champions for enhancement and integration work
  • Identify and work with Director of Sales Solution to improve cross-functional systemic issues
  • Keeps Sales and Dev opportunity tools up to date
  • Provide remote and in person product presentations both internally and externally as needed
  • Build and update technical databases for sales presentations
  • Respond to technical and product questions for RFPs
    • Information gathering
    • Product functionality verification
    • Roadmap delivery for requested functionality
  • Build customer relationships during sales process for labs, pilots, and special projects
  • Trade show attendance
    • Product showcase
    • Preparation
    • Technical follow up 
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 4 years experience in tech / product solutions 
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated, driven and self-starting individual
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to understand customer needs
  • Excellent time management/organizational skills
  • Advanced understanding of software 
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
