Reports To: Estimating & Pricing Manager – Builder Services
Works with:
Within the Company: Sales Department, Builder Services Operations, Account Administrators, Installers, others.
Outside the Company: Customers and Vendors.
JOB SUMMARY
Your primary KPI in this position is to deliver quality, accurate, and on time flooring, countertop, and cabinet bids and custom estimates. You are responsible for ensuring quantities and diagrams are accurate for ordering and installation purposes of all products offered by the company in compliance with generally accepted installation expectations. The Estimator’s second KPI is to complete all custom estimates and new bids by the assigned deadline through efficient time management. The Estimator must demonstrate flexibility as new tasks are assigned and deadlines and the competing needs of the business change. The Estimator’s third KPI is to manage the job estimate level of profitability of the company through reducing shortages, managing waste, minimizing errors, and efficient estimating and cabinet design. The Estimators fourth KPI is to provide solutions to support the Sales Team in gaining new business. By mastering these skill’s, the successful Estimator communicates on these expectations to internal customers by interacting with the sales team and account administration team.
A successful Estimator is task oriented with outstanding record-keeping, analytical, and resolution abilities. The chosen candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and be a self-starter.

JOB DUTIES
- Provides accurate flooring, countertop, and cabinet diagrams and quantities for new bids and custom estimate requests.
- Ensures accuracy of all work, including double checking bids and custom estimates before final submission.
- Demonstrates ability to read, understand, and critically question flooring, countertop, and cabinet specifications, color sheets, blueprints, cad drawings, scopes of work, and general bid packages provided by the customer.
- Displays a sense of urgency and completes tasks by deadline.
- Prioritizes projects and tasks and communicates job completion timetables to management.
- Demonstrates the ability to multi-task and be flexible with the addition of new tasks and changing deadlines.
- Works closely with Sales Department and Account Administration Department as needed to solve problems.
- Demonstrates expertise in use of Measure Software and 2020 Cabinet Design Software.
- Demonstrates comprehension of pricing spread sheets and displays knowledge and understanding of how to create, alter, and revise spread sheets.
- Organizes and maintains quantities, diagrams, and pricing on the shared drive for each builder.
- Performs other tasks as required.
- Demonstrates adherence to company values, policies, and procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience:
Not required but 2 years experience preferred.

- Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
