Spring Arbor Senior Living in Frederick, MD is seeking qualified Med Techs to join our team. Individuals are responsible for managing the medication administration program in accordance with state regulations. They direct Resident Assistants (RAs) and help coordinate services for residents under the direction of the Resident Care Director. At times, our med tech team members may be required to perform the duties of the Resident Assistant on an as needed basis.

- State-specific Medication Technician / Registered Medication Aide certification required (Candidates must possess to move forward in the process)
- In addition to Med Tech license, a CNA or PCA/DCS Certification is required
- High school diploma, or equivalent required
- Must be at least 18 years old (must be 21 if also serving as an SIC)
- Must have and maintain CPR and First Aid certifications
WHAT YOU WILL DO!
- Document and review medication administration, refer to residents’ charts and administer medications according to physician’s orders.
- Ensure that medications are being administered at appropriate times and order residents’ medications in a timely manner.
- Communicate with physicians and other medical professionals regarding residents’ medications, treatments, and/or therapies
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transfer, mobility and incontinence care.
- Respond to resident emergency call system.
