Spring Hill Golf Club is a private golf club located in Wayzata, Minnesota. Full-time, or part-time, positions are available for the 2023 golf season starting in April through October. We offer flexible schedules and pay based on experience – gratuity in addition to hourly wage. Job Summary
Servers perform a variety of tasks, from preparing the food, stocking supplies, serving, processing orders and chits, cleaning tables and counters, resetting tables, greeting members and guests, and answering questions. Assist with maintaining food and beverage operations in the clubhouse to ensure an effective and efficient operation with service excellence. The property is a robust and active environment with many opportunities and challenges. This is a perfect climate for an enthusiastic individual.
Servers act as the first point of contact between the Grill and its members and guests, which makes it vital for Spring Hill Staff to possess excellent customer service knowledge and impeccable communication skills. Servers welcome members and guests, help them be seated and make sure they are comfortable. They take and deliver orders, suggest dishes, promote specials, answer questions, and provide exceptional member and guest experience.
Servers must have an in-depth knowledge of the food and drink menu of the Grill, which includes but is not limited to: NA beverages, liquor selection, wine list, beer selection and beers on tap, breakfast menu, lunch menu, lunch specials, after golf menu, and dinner menu. Servers must possess great memorization or note-taking skills. Servers keep the front of house and kitchen areas neat and pleasant to exceed member and guest expectations and adhere to health and safety regulations.
Server Responsibilities:
- Sets up service station(s) and performs assigned side work (kitchen, coffee, etc.).
- Welcomes members and guests. Provides immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating.
- Develop relationships with members learning their beverage preferences and special requests.
- Describes any food and beverage specials of the day to members and guests. Answers questions regarding any menu items. Offers suggestions of menu items when appropriate.
- Complies with all Minnesota state laws/policies relating to the service of alcohol.
- Input orders into the POS system for kitchen, advising kitchen about any special cooking instructions.
- Follows up with members and guests to ensure satisfaction. Replenish items as needed.
- Keeps restaurant, service stations etc., clean, well-stocked and organized.
- Performs opening, clean-up and closing duties.
- Work as a team with all personnel to maintain a positive atmosphere and an effective food and beverage service. Works with others to keep all areas clean and organized.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Front of House Manager.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma.
- Meets state minimum age to serve alcohol.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Time management and problem solving/decision making skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc. for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 – 50 pounds.
- Maintains a professional appearance according to employee handbook.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and computer skills.
Experience:
- Serving: 1-3 years experience (Preferred).
- Club experience is a plus.
