Job Description:
We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic Host/Hostess to join our team. Responsibilities:
Greeting and Seating: Warmly welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued. Manage the seating process efficiently, taking into consideration reservations and table availability.
Reservation Management: Keep track, manage, and direct waitstaff for reservations and organize the seating arrangements to optimize the flow of guests and minimize wait times.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guests' inquiries, concerns, and special requests. Offer assistance in a polite and professional manner.
Waitlist Management: Maintain an organized waitlist during peak hours, updating guests on approximate wait times and ensuring their needs are met while they wait.
Menu Knowledge: Acquire a thorough understanding of the menu offerings to help guests with their selections and answer questions about the dishes.
Collaboration: Work closely with the waitstaff and kitchen team to ensure seamless communication and a smooth dining experience for guests.
Sanitation and Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station, lobby area, and entrance, creating a positive first impression for guests.
Upselling and Promotions: Inform guests about ongoing promotions, special events, and loyalty programs, encouraging their participation and enhancing their dining experience.
Special Occasions: Assist in coordinating special occasions and events, accommodating larger parties and ensuring their needs are met.
Problem Resolution: Handle guest concerns and complaints with professionalism, aiming to resolve issues and ensure guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the hospitality industry. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Positive attitude and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. Familiarity with reservation management software is a plus. Flexibility in working shifts, including weekends and holidays.
