Overview
Our CNA is responsible for providing direct patient care by aiding with activities of daily living under the direction of the RN. The care provided includes consideration for the patient’s and family’s physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs. Other duties include maintaining a clean and safe environment in the patient’s personal space. This position also has responsibility to report changes in the patient/caregiver or the environment to the RN. This is designated as a safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities
- Perform personal care needs
- Maintain patient’s personal space as needed, including light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
- Monitor and replenish patient supplies
- Assess and report on patient’s condition and significant changes to the assigned nurse
- Effectively communicate with patient and caregiver
- Efficiently document care
- Perform or assist with specialized treatment with or as directed by the RN
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal legal and regulatory requirements
- Meet safety needs of patient and use equipment properly
- Perform other duties where volume deems necessary
Qualifications
- Must have completed an approved C.N.A. training course
- Required continuing education documentation
- One year experience in Hospice or Home Health
- Must be able to read, write and perform simple mathematical calculations
- Above average verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
- Ability to respond to supervisor, patients, and families
- Ability to define problems

Salary Range
USD $12.00 - $14.00 / HourSalary : $12 - $14
