Cafeteria Director

The SCS Cafeteria Director will serve as the primary leader for the SCS Lunch Program, overseeing the preparation and serving of the school's lunch and snack programs. Working to provide for a healthy child nutrition program, this person will plan meals, lead cafeteria personnel, coordinate the purchase of all needed food, kitchen supplies, and equipment, manage vendor relationships, and supervise personnel in their food preparation, serving, and clean-up. This person shall reflect the purpose of the school, which is to equip students to follow Christ and impact the world for Him. SCS staff members live out a compelling relationship with Jesus Christ, which is central to daily instruction and interactions with students, parents, and team members. The SCS Cafeteria Director must love Christ, children, and preparing food for people!

• Evidence a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• Have a passion for connecting students with Christ and His mission
• Be emotionally and spiritually mature and lead others to be the same
• Preferred: Hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent educational experience) with a major in a specific area (food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field). We will also consider candidates with appropriate training and relevant school nutrition or food service program experience
