GENERAL PURPOSE
This position is an instructional leader responsible for supporting and coaching elementary principals. Specific responsibilities will be to monitor the implementation of the strategic plan in elementary schools. Additional roles will include evaluation of results and implementation of improvement cycles resulting in academic achievement and increased student behavior.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Coaches Elementary Principals in collaboration with the Executive Director - Elementary Schools to grow capacity in leading their respective buildings and executing the district mission, vision and objectives.
Improves the capacity of building principals in leading their staff towards the outcome of increased levels of student learning through coaching specific to the elementary learning model, priority metrics, feedback, and collaborative practices.
Provides instructional leadership in planning, developing and implementing and supervising quality researched based instructional programs.
Exhibit a knowledgeable, passionate and enthusiastic commitment to continuous student improvement with a focus on the district's instructional priorities.
Facilitates and/or participates in a variety of meetings conveying and gathering information regarding a wide variety of subjects required to carry out their administrative responsibilities.
Performs personnel functions maintaining adequate staffing, enhancing productivity of personnel and achieving objectives within budget.
Prepares a wide variety of complex materials documenting activities and issues, meeting compliance requirements, providing audit references, making presentations, and/or providing supporting materials for requested actions.
Presents a wide variety of topics related to administrative responsibilities providing general information, training others, and implementing actions.
Support and monitor the performance of principals at assigned school.
Work with schools to develop comprehensive goals that meet the affective, cognitive, and physical needs of the students and align them with the goals of other schools in the feeder pattern.
Assist principals with resource allocations and staffing considerations that will allow schools to excel instructionally and execute district initiatives.
Collaborate with and counsel principals on working with their surrounding communities and other stakeholders.
Assist school-based leadership in making high-quality decisions and resolving conflicts.
Develop and implement individualized plans to promote continuous learning of current school leader and develop future school leaders.
Directly supervises the principals assigned and indirectly supervises all teachers on those campuses.
Full management responsibilities for schools assigned, including evaluating and appraising the campus principal.
Performs other related duties as required/assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
Master's Degree in job-related area from an accredited college or university, required.
Minimum of five (5) years of job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility in elementary school administration required.
Certificates, Licenses and Other Special Requirements
Missouri Administrative Certification, required.
Building Leadership experience, required.
Must pass a Criminal Background Clearance, the results of which must be satisfactory to the District, required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of algebra and/or geometry; review and interpret highly technical information, write technical materials, and/or speak persuasively to implement desired actions; and analyze situations to define issues, draw conclusions and create action plans.
Knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: pertinent codes, policies, regulations and/or laws; conflict resolution; bookkeeping principles, and concepts of management and supervision
Skill to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to routinely upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.
Skill based competencies required to perform the functions of the job, including planning and managing projects; using pertinent software applications; preparing and maintaining accurate records; and administering personnel policies.
Ability to read technical information and compose a variety of documents.
Ability to work with others under a wide variety of circumstances; working with data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using defined methods.
Ability to work with a significant diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with data of widely varied types and/or purposes; and utilize job-related equipment.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Work environment is primarily inside, where the noise and temperature levels are moderate.
The work is light work that requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects..
Must possess the physical ability to perceive the nature of sounds, make rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processes, express or exchange ideas by the spoken word, substantial movements (motions) with the hands, wrists, and/or fingers, and discern letters or numbers at a given distance.
Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, manual dexterity, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity and walking.
