Every summer, thousands of kids come to one of our overnight camp locations for a week of adventure, learning, and growing. Whether in Evart, Michigan or Seymour, Indiana, SpringHill overnight is a fast-paced, high-energy experience for kids in grades 1-12. This role offers free housing and food, plus adventure, spiritual growth, and leadership development!
What does a SpringHill Counselor do?
As a counselor, you are responsible for the physical, emotional and social safety and spiritual development of campers. You will be responsible for time management and leadership of the campers placed in your care each week. You will lead small groups, participate in activities and provide an imaginative and fun experience for campers. You will be trained in appropriate behavior and responses for you and your campers. SpringHill will provide support through morning meetings, one-on-one meetings, and weekly small group meetings.
Requirements
- Completion of one year of college preferred
- Previous experience working with children preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift, bend, and twist
- Ability to push and pull loads
- Must be able to lift frequently up to 35 lbs.; occasionally 35-100 lbs. with assistance
- Good hand-eye coordination
