The Vice President of Analysis & Underwriting position may be hybrid remote, however living in Atlanta or Denver is preferred. The salary compensation will be based on experience.
Position Summary:
Managing the integrity and accuracy of all hotel underwriting, proactively identifying emerging industry trends, and developing appropriate responses and market leading solutions. Leading continuous transformation of the underwriting function into a more efficient and effective operation
Essential Responsibilities:
- Will oversee part of the United States as it relates to underwriting to ensure company goal, initiatives, and expectations are being met throughout the underwriting function
- Exceptional understanding of deal structure, waterfall scenario, DSC loan ratio along with quality and attention to detail is maintained on every opportunity.
- Effectively communicate both company policy and procedure updates as well as industry trends and regulatory changes to management team members in a timely and professional fashion
- Ensures exceptional customer service by maintaining thorough knowledge of policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, while demonstrating a commitment to professional ethics and complying with all Federal, State and company requirements.
- Aggressively researches and analyzes Real Estate industry trends to stay current, and identify emerging issues affecting business plans, new product and service opportunities
- Review portfolios in order to identify, evaluate and determine the appropriate course of action on potential credit quality issues in order to maximize credit quality and minimize risk and potential loss to the company
- Understand third party underwriting along with ownership and complexity of deal structures

Job Requirements:
- Expert level understanding of underwriting and account management
- Ability to negotiate; influence others and apply financial acumen with a focus on service and execution
- Understanding of markets and nuances of select, full service and lifestyle brands
- Be familiar with franchise agreements and deal structure
- Considerable credit analysis and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of credit administration, policy and procedures
- Must have exceptional documentation and risk analysis skills
- Strong marketing, sales and presentation skills are required
- Ability to develop strong broker relationships
- Exceptional computer skills
- Servant Leader, proven ability to work as part of a team
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Ten (10) years industry experience with a preference in hospitality industry.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in required
