Job Description:
Provides safe and timely transportation to residents as scheduled and assigned.
Assists residents, wheelchairs, walkers, and unloads all ancillary equipment.
Performs minor vehicle maintenance, including fueling of vehicles, as needed and assures exterior and interior of vehicles are kept clean and presentable at all times.
Insures vehicle radio is functioning and monitored at all times.
Restricts vehicle use to official Springhill/Forest View business.
Coordinates with Base and other drivers to insure timely pick-up of residents.
Pick-up of medical records, x-rays, etc.
Responsible for vehicle log and submits fuel charge receipts timely.
Proficient in LIFT vehicle wheel-chair seat belt system. Assures every resident is safety-belt restrained before proceeding.
Provides general maintenance assistance for Environmental Services as available and assigned.
Immediately reports vehicle accidents (no matter how minor) to a designated supervisor and the Executive Director.
Volunteers and demonstrates active participation in campus wide and departmental committees.
Follows established safety regulations, to include fire protection/prevention, smoking regulations, infection control, blood/bodily fluids, correct body mechanics, good personal hygiene, isolation precaution procedures, etc.
Is aware of Resident Rights and demonstrates a respect for our residents and these rights.
Experience: ·
Previous public transportation experience is preferred.
Education: · High School Diploma. ·
CDL license. · CPR Certified
