Dental hygienist

We're looking for a registered dental hygienist to join our growing team! You’ll complete initial patient screenings, conduct dental cleanings, and assist dentists with examinations and procedures.

The days available for this position are Tuesdays 1-7 PM, Fridays 7-3 : 30 PM, and one Saturday a month 8-1 pm.

Part-time employees are eligible for 401K with match and paid sick time!

Compensation : $45 - $50 hourly

Responsibilities :

• Put patients at ease by talking with them before, during, and after the appointment
• Record any changes to the patient’s health history and document the ongoings of each appointment
• Work with dentists to decide the best form of treatment for a variety of dental disease
• Disinfect all dental instruments to ensure cross-contamination does not occur
• Check for issues such as gingivitis, periodontitis, or caries so patients can receive care as soon as the problem is identified
• Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, taking x-rays, and applying fluoride treatments
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for at-home care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Follow all HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy
• Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care to patients
• Stay current on industry trends and advancements in dental hygiene techniques
• Sterilize all dental equipment to make sure everything is properly cleaned

Qualifications :

• Superb customer service and communication skills
• Certified to perform CPR
• 1-2 years of work experience as a dental hygienist
