Job Summary

The Senior Web Business Analyst is responsible for translating functional specifications into a viable technical solution that meets the business needs. This requires technical subject matter knowledge, collaboration with architecture, process teams, testing and deployment teams to design a viable solution.

Springs is investing heavily in technology, both internal and customer facing systems, and this role will play a key part in bringing our technology to the next level.  In addition to standardization and integration initiatives, we’re building new technology such as our Graber Visualizer Tablet App with augmented reality technology.

This wide-ranging role includes requirements definition, project management, implementation, and QA.  In addition, you’ll work closely with our integrated marketing (graphics) team, IT order management team, customer service, multiple functional areas supporting the organization as a whole and our different brands

Responsibilities

Requirements Definition and Design Responsibilities: (60%)

• Identify, create, and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level, focusing on quality improvement and data management, ensuring data is reliable and valid, developing process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination, integrating new systems and processes with existing ones, and partnering with internal and external customers to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies
• Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, identifying business needs, determining, and carrying out necessary processes and practices, monitoring progress and results, recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities, and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities
• Supports the technical design and development activities of the solution
• Collaborates with developers to review end-to-end solution architecture and design as well as Process Teams and others within the IT organization on solution design and to ensure all dependencies are identified
• Maintains system architecture documentation to ensure appropriate architecture is leveraged for an end-to-end integrated solution.
• Acquires clear understanding and capabilities of 3rd party packages and how they fit into our IT solution
• Participates in strategic analysis, proof-of-concept, and prototyping initiatives to prepare for utilization of new technology
• Designs solutions based on development standards and approaches
• Evaluates alternative designs, makes appropriate recommendation, and documents design solutions

Project Management Responsibilities: (20%)

• Maintains detailed project plan and ensures projects are staffed with sufficient resources to deliver solutions to expected timelines

Application Development and Quality Responsibilities: (20%)

• Leads and performs various testing phases such as extended unit tests and performance tests
• Provides timely defect resolution to minimize delays in project timeline
• Contributes to, understands, and adheres to Application Development processes, software development standards, and technical approaches relevant to assigned technology

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related business field required

• 5 years of web application design, development and/or business analyst experience
• Experience with ERP order entry systems
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead business and technical discussion and communicate with individuals in multiple functional areas with varying degree of technical knowledge
• Experience with project management best practices
• Agile development processes (e.g., Scrum)
• Experience leading or supporting multi-disciplinary work teams to achieve successful execution of complex implementation projects
• Knowledge of technology system interfaces, application architecture and data integration; networks, operating systems, commercial-off-the-shelf software, web architecture
• Data extraction, transformation, and loading (ELT), database management systems (DBMS), output (report) design and data queries (SQL)
• Understands the relationships between the integration technologies, web services, Web Application Server
