What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Coordinator position at Springside Inn?

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Social Media Marketing associate to administer all marketing efforts we have at Springside Inn, Oak & Vine at Springside, and The Point at Sand Beach. You will manage our company image along with our company marketing efforts. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to market our company to our existing and future customer base. Ultimately you will use social media marketing and inhouse print to ensure high levels of traffic through our doors.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

- To become very familiar with all segments in our business such as, but not limited to:
Springside Inn, Oak & Vine, The Point at Sand Beach.

- Create individual Social Media Strategies for the various segments of our business;
Weddings, Events, Oak & Vine, Lodging, The Point at Sand Beach

- Managing Inbound and Outbound messaging with active, consistent, professional engagements on the various social media platforms.

- Ensure website is properly maintained and up-to-date.
- Work with and build relationships with our community leaders, tourism professionals, and chamber of commerce
- Identify new opportunities for engagement for each segment of our target markets.
- Maintaining a positive online image, properly interact with online posts.
- Crisis controls for negative online mentions.
- Using analytics, measure success of marketing efforts and present monthly results to department heads.

- Create Standard Operation Procedures (SOP)

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Social Media Marketing Associate does not directly supervise employees, but will take on the responsibility of training new or existing staff members on our Social Media Strategy to insure consistency of our presence on social media platforms.

Minimum Qualification Standards:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, management, or related field.
  • 1-2 years related social media sales/marketing experience in hospitality industry preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered.
  • Ability to frequently work weekends and evenings.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Computer proficiency including word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, and reports.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Strong understanding of website and social media analytics
  • Ability to take high quality photos, images, and videos
  • Understanding on basic video editing, photo clipping & cutting, designs
  • Insight and directive of what type of content should be produced.
  • Brainstorming and content creation
  • To create shot lists or wish lists of videos and photos
  • Ability to excel in fast paced environment with limited resources and simultaneous responsibility for multiple projects.
  • Excellent judgment on tone and brand appropriateness of content
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills: exceptional command of English language grammar and spelling is a must.
  • Advanced proficiency in best practices and engagement with major social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok.
  • Ability to coordinate the activities of employees.
  • Organizing and coordinating skills.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment. Must be an excellent team player and approachable with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to gather data, analyze information, and prepare reports.
  • Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
