• Uses knowledge of different faiths to meet various religious beliefs/needs, lead prayers, and answer spiritual questions.
• Actively provides delivery of spiritual support and guidance to patients/families.
• Protects patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
• Acts as a liaison between the hospital and community.
• Keeps records of pastoral/spiritual activities to communicate with other members of the department and administration as needed.
• Authors and co-authors materials relevant to spiritual care and pastoral education.

Education Bachelor’s degree in religion, divinity, or theology; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience 2-5 years of experience as a clergy or chaplain. Experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred.

License Valid driver’s license.

Additional Requirements CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment. May be required to work flexible hours.
