The Day-to-Day
Collaborating with other teams inside SPS to solve problems will be a regular part of your day. You’ll work alongside talented and enthusiastic professionals who embrace the world of technology. You will participate in multiple ongoing projects and adapt when faced with potentially conflicting priorities.
- Demonstrate agility while working with different datatypes including our RSX XML standard, CSV, X12 and other data formats
- Adapt and utilize best practices for solution development to ensure world-class service is delivered to SPS’s customers
- Gather user requirements and guide definition of intended functionality while developing and enhancing maps used in data transformation, both through a UI and the raw source code (Java)
- Adhere to internal security and change management procedures to provide solution stability and viability
- Develop and implement deployment verification plans and quality assurance procedures
- Gather and provide actionable and timely feedback across multiple communication channels to improve on established solutions
What Experience and Skills Do You Need?
- Professional license/specialized training
- Knowledge of core computer science concepts and can develop applications with limited scope
- Ability to pair program with peers. Works well in a collaborative setting – is a team player
- Preferred experience in modern technologies such as Python or Java
- Excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to balance multiple tasks concurrently
