Position Description:
The IT Systems Technician accurately troubleshoots IT hardware and software issues and provides detailed technical assistance to the end users for all PC and peripheral systems. The position performs tasks associated with servers, network, and other equipment as directed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides help desk assistance to end users to include PC, peripherals, phone, and software support
- Troubleshoots, repairs, and reloads or images new and used systems for deployment
- Applies necessary hardware and software updates as directed
- Assists in maintaining system and network security as it applies to new, current, and terminated employees
- Maintains an inventory of all owned software licenses and hardware. Ensures zero tolerance software license compliance
- Follows procedures for maintenance of server and communication systems
- Applies upgrades to servers and networks
Physical & Work Requirements:
- 5-10 % travel
- On-call rotation for evening and weekend
- Ability to lift 75 pounds
Required Background, Competencies & Expertise:
- Familiarity with DHCP, DNS, Active Directory
- Proven experience with troubleshooting PCs, peripheral systems, and software.
