The Supervisor of Bankruptcy supervises the staff and operations of the bankruptcy department to minimize potential losses and ensure adherence to investor, state and regulatory requirements.

Duties:

  • Monitor bankruptcy portfolio to ensure work is completed within timely manner
  • Maintain tracking and status reports required
  • Assist in developing and implementing procedures for process improvement
  • Maintain relationships with other departments
  • Ensure department conforms to legal and compliance requirements
  • Manage human resource issues and performance appraisals
  • Maintain updated information regarding legal and/or investor, insurer or master service requirement(s). Provide information to team, update procedures and processes as needed.
  • Development and training of staff
  • Participate in Due Diligence and Audits, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Specifications: Bachelor's or equivalent work experience

  • Proven experience in mortgage servicing, specifically, in regards to bankruptcy
  • 3-5 years banking/mortgage experience with an emphasis in bankruptcy
  • 1-2 years of management or supervisory experience
  • Current working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Working knowledge of mortgage documents and subprime default procedures and processes
  • Ability to handle stress and multiple projects with competing interests for time
