Job Description:

Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner looking to make a meaningful contribution to the healthcare of military personnel in Roswell, NM. Maybe you have your own practice and just want a steady supplemental income. We are seeking an Advanced Practitioner to perform one-time physical exams on military personnel with a focus on maintaining their health and readiness. This role offers the opportunity to work at your own pace with 60-minute appointments, allowing for comprehensive medical interviewing and health examinations. These exams require no medical management or follow-up, just submit your findings through an online portal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review pertinent medical history documentation & provide veterans with one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams.
• The Nurse Practitioner will capture responses during the exam through web-based examination forms; all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
• Standard exams include - musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory.

Qualifications:

• Unrestricted Advanced Practitioner license in the state of New Mexico
• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner with BLS certification
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
• Experience in conducting history and physical exams
• Comfortable in cardiopulmonary, orthopedic, and respiratory exams

Schedule:

• Minimum work requirement of 1 day/week
• Flexible self-scheduling to accommodate your work-life balance.
• Extended 60-minute appointments allow for comprehensive patient interviews.
