Job Summary
As Director, Consumer Insights you will lead and manage all our consumer intelligence efforts. Reporting into the Executive Director, Intelligence, you will be an integral part of the wider Western Publishing team focused on delivering unforgettable experiences to players around the world. You will grow and lead a Consumer Insights team that informs and inspires our portfolio of games and entertainment from design to development, to execution and assessment of publishing strategy, working alongside key leaders around the organization. You will take on both a strategic advisory as well as lead researcher role in driving a data-informed culture of accountability to the player.

Responsibilities
- Partner and build relationships with key stakeholders, gain a deep understanding of business needs and consumer questions, and deliver best practice research solutions and analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
- Lead the planning and execution of all phases of market research process, including project scoping and design, method selection, questionnaire/discussion guide development, target sample definition, programming and testing surveys, field and quota management, and quantitative/qualitative analysis.
- Drive the creation of insightful takeaways, analysis, and reports by leveraging your expertise in the gaming market/industry, synthesizing information from a variety or sources and methods, and doing deep data mining where required.
- Oversee multiple internal and external vendors across North America and Europe (coordinate project bids, discover new vendors for nontraditional methodologies, recommend matrix of partners, manage projects flawlessly from end to end).
- Develop a vision for how to continuously improve how we connect with and understand our audiences around the world.
- Be the key advocate for gamers around the world. Champion the consumer voice internally across key game development milestones and campaign beats. Instill a data-driven consumer focused culture.

Knowledge and Experience
- 10 years experience in market research or consumer insights field, preferably at a research provider or corporate research team.
- 4 years management experience
- Mastery of multiple research frameworks and requirements for a wide range of methodologies (qualitative and quantitative)
- Focuses on the human side of data- able to translate data so it is actionable as well as informative.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with a passion for coaching and developing team members
- Established relationships with vendors and able to select best-fit partners.
- Strategic and flexible thinker with the ability to work across corporate matrices to build consensus and gain alignment.
- Experience working in video games, interactive entertainment, branding, strategy consulting, or related fields.
- Bachelors degree in marketing, psychology, social sciences, statistics or related field. MBA or advanced degree a plus.
