Position: Oracle Database Administrator

Location: Miami, FL

Duration: 12 months Contract

Must-have skills: 8 y as an Oracle Database admin; some exp with IBM Distributed DB2;

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer Oracle databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as database backups, restores, and patches to maintain data integrity and system stability.
  • Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize SQL queries and database configurations for improved efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access controls, encryption, and data masking to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Troubleshoot database issues, diagnose problems, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Support and maintain IBM Distributed DB2 databases, including installation, configuration, and ongoing management tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement database-related policies, procedures, and best practices to meet business objectives and regulatory requirements.
