Hedge Fund Accountant

Job Description SS&C, through its BPO partnership with Lighthouse, is currently seeking a candidate who will be part of a multi-dimensional middle to back office operations and accounting department responsible for all aspects of post trade matching, trade capture, and all aspects of daily operations, treasury services, accounting and tax compliance, planning and reporting. The ideal candidate is one who works or has worked within a multi-strategy hedge fund, financial institution or hedge fund administrator with solid exposure to fund accounting, OMS/PMS integration, middle office post trade reporting and operations. We are looking for a Hedge Fund Accounting Associate to work in our client’s Palm Beach Gardens, FL office. Position Responsibilities: Reconciling the funds cash to outside sources Reconciling the funds positions/securities to outside sources Researching differences between accounting and trade entry systems Assist with monthly estimated pricing for the fund portfolios Reviewing daily PNL within internal systems Assist in preparation of estimated NAV’s for the funds Assist in preparation of investor relations reporting Reviewing the calculation of fund NAV's and all related reports Working with auditors to prepare and present year-end financial accounts Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field Prior hedge fund or fund of fund experience a strong plus Solid MS Excel knowledge Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-starter personality and the ability to strive for excellence in their work Solid analytical skills A strong team player #LI-AK1 Unless explicitly requested or approached by SS&C Technologies, Inc. or any of its affiliated companies, the company will not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
