Quality Reviewer

SSE is a St. Louis based technology company that designs and builds training and courseware for military and commercial aviation programs. There is an immediate opportunity for a Quality Reviewer to assist in the development and revision of Highly Technical Training Products. Reviewers will be responsible for applying project standards and conventions criteria with respect to all document and media formats. Will follow formats and templates as required and may develop appropriate job aids/checklists to facilitate reviews of documentation. Works under moderate supervision in a team environment that may include a project manager and technical personnel.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Perform the duties of technical editor on one or more projects: Edit scripts, storyboards, guided demonstrations, graphics requests
• Review and ensure quality, technical correctness and instructional soundness of draft/final interactive multimedia lesson segments
• Participate in all phases of project execution (Analysis, Design, Development, and Deployment)
• Understanding of adult learning principles and how they apply to blended learning solutions
• Understanding of graphic design and layout principles

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work well within a collaborative, diverse team environment
• Ability to work semi-independently and ensure performance to deadlines and milestones
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively deliver a complex message – either written or verbal
• General knowledge of using web-based training applications.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office products

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required with two or more years of experience in technical editing, training, or a related field.
• Proven experience in writing, editing and typing of reports, studies, and presentation materials of technical information for technical/non-technical audiences
• Proven Experience in interpreting documentation standards and has prepared documentation against such standards
• Experience in proofreading documents and ensuring accuracy in spelling and grammar
• Understanding and general application of training and adult learning principles would be a plus
