Network Technicians - 40-50% Travel

Network Technicians
Location is San Diego, CA
Clearance - Secret or Top Secret
M-F Days
No remote work, need candidates onsite

Travel required(Includes travel expenses, per diem)

There are 2 opportunities:

1) Network Technician - (MCSE, MCSA, Linux , etc.) Focused around Servers, etc

• Experience in system administration (Microsoft or Linux preferred)
• Travel up to 40%

2) Network Technician – (CCNA) Focused around Switches/Routers, etc

• Experience in routing and switching (Cisco preferred)
• Travel up to 40%

Responsibilities:

• Assist in or lead the installation and/or distance support of networks and servers.
• Pre-load, configure and test equipment and systems to include servers, workstations, routers, and switches.
• Provide tier II/III remote support and troubleshooting to operational units worldwide
• Provide support and integration expertise for Navy network systems and associated systems during installations on-board Navy Vessels.
• Provide on-site technical assistance to operational units worldwide.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years’ experience as a Systems Administrator/Field Engineer/System Analyst
• A CompTIA Security CE Certification or other IAT Level II Certification
• Experience in TCP/IP and common protocols such as FTP, SSH SMTP, DNS, SNMP, and NTP.
• Experience in VMware ESX and vSphere are desired.
• Remedy or other help desk ticket system experience is desired.
• Experience with one or more of the following systems is desired:

• Integrated Shipboard Network Systems (ISNS)
• Consolidated Afloat Network Enterprise System (CANES)
• Automated Digital Network System (ADNS)
• Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System (CENTRIXS)
• Global Command and Control System (GCCS)
• SCI Networks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift

• Computer networking: 3 years (Preferred)
• Server support: 3 years (Preferred)
• Consolidated Afloat Network Enterprise System (CANES): 1 year (Preferred)
• Global Command and Control System (GCCS): 1 year (Preferred)
• Integrated Shipboard Network Systems (ISNS): 1 year (Preferred)
• Automated Digital Network System (ADNS): 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CompTIA Security CE (Required)
• CCNA (Preferred)
• MSCE or MCSA Certification (Preferred)

Security clearance:
