SSM Health - Illinois seeks a Behavioral Medicine NP or Clinical Nurse Specialist to join an established Bariatric Surgery practice in Centralia, Illinois. The successful candidate will join a very established Bariatric Surgery program as the second NP assisting in Medical clearance of patients. This position will be affiliated with SSM Health - St. Mary's Hospital in centralia, Illinois and will be a PRN position.

This is an employed position with SSM Health- St. Mary's Hospital, a premier hospital system located in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, where easy access is available to St. Louis, Chicago, Evansville, Indianapolis, Lexington, Louisville, Memphis and Nashville.

Highlights of the opportunity are:

  • Practice at a brand-new state of the art facility
  • Facility is a not-for-profit Catholic institution affiliated with SSM Health
  • Active Hospitalist program in place
  • 250,000 population service area covering 9 counties

Successful candidates will possess:

  • NP or CNS degree from accredited program recognized by the State of Illinois
  • Board Certification
  • Specialized training in Behavioral Health possessing either Psychiatric NP or BHCNS certificate.
  • State of Illinois license preferred
  • 1 year of practice experience

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
Full Practice Authority APRN - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
Full Practice Authority APRN Control Substance - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
APN Controlled Substance - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
Registered Nurse Practitioner - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
