What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Executive position at SSM Health?
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates the sale of insurance products via brokers.
- Educates brokers on products available, underwriting and enrollment process.
- Coordinates the administrative and service procedures for assigned groups for the first 60 days from effective date.
- Assists brokers in enrollment meetings and the enrollment process.
- Works closely with the marketing department to update and manage group prospect database.
- Secures census data from brokers and develops plan recommendations.
- Conducts market research on competitors; propose recommendations to management on product availability and underwriting guidelines based on market demands.
- Works closely with the marketing department to determine advertising and promotion.
- Conducts projects and participates in team activities to identify problems and improve work processes and systems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent years of experience and education
EXPERIENCE
- Three years experience in health insurance or sales
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Rare climbing.
