Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at SSM Health. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from physical, emotional, cognitive, and/or psychosocial deficits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' abilities to perform daily living skills and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Implement treatment plans using various modalities, including occupational therapy techniques and adaptive equipment.
- Monitor patients' progress, modify treatment plans as needed, and seek consultation when necessary.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families/caregivers on patient deficits and adaptive equipment use.
- Plan and assist with patient discharge from therapy services, ensuring a smooth transition to home or community settings.
- Oversee the care provided by designated individuals, adhering to established regulations and practice standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
- Current licensure in Occupational Therapy in the state of practice.
- No experience required, but prior experience in occupational therapy is preferred.
Work Environment:
This role requires constant standing, frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs, and occasional lifting/moving patients. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of alertness and safety.
