What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Superintendent position at SST Direct?
DIRECT HIRE: Amazing direct hire opportunity for an experienced Environmental Superintendent with Remediation experience, in the Martinez, CA area. This position reports directly to the shop department manager.

Salary: $95,000 - $135,000 per year (based on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Lead projects across multiple sites with minimal supervision, managing multidisciplinary tasks and schedules effectively
- Ensure compliance with company and client Health and Safety requirements
- Direct field personnel, subcontractors, and equipment operators to ensure project progress
- Maintain accurate daily field documentation
- Identify contract requirements, potential changes, and out-of-scope items
- Assist in cost estimation and negotiation with vendors/subcontractors
- Conduct initial accident investigations and develop appropriate procedures
- Collaborate with senior management to establish project goals
- Supervise and mentor up to 10 direct craft reports
- Preferred:
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and current 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher required
- USACE QC Training
Qualifications:
- 6 years of experience in environmental cleanup, soil remediation, demo/decon, or habitat restoration
- Proven track record leading multi-disciplinary teams in construction projects
