What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor position at SST Direct?
Seeking a Production Supervisor with 1-3 years of experience with aluminum. You will be working on porch, patio, and screen enclosures this is a direct hire opportunity with our client in Fort pierce, FL. You will report to the Director of Operations.
Pay is between $22.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience)
In this role you will supervise production and delivery of all materials required for all projects. This is a working supervisory position where you will work alongside employees and supervise the production of complex detail-oriented porches, patios, and screen enclosures.
Responsibilities:
- Help manage the shop, repair, alteration, and preventative maintenance of the plant to improve the productivity of the operation.
- Reads and interprets technical drawings, construction plans and documents.
- Be able to manufacture doors, windows, screens etc.
- Experience in using electric circular saw and compound miter saw.
- Very good knowledge of working with aluminum.
- Neat, clean, and professional in appearance and attitude.
- Inspects all material produced for accuracy and quality.
- Use materials and equipment appropriately and effectively as trained.
- Wear clean company uniform and appropriate footwear, maintain personal hygiene.
- Ensure accurate and complete record keeping of service reports, logbooks, etc.
- Use company vehicle only for company business or as otherwise approved.
- Keep company vehicles and equipment clean and orderly.
- Put safety ahead of all other concerns when utilizing company vehicle and providing company services.
- Maintain company vehicle according to company guidelines and applicable state and federal laws. Maintain and secure required inventory of tools, equipment, manuals, and materials on company vehicle.
- Responsible for overseeing and directing all manufacturing and delivery personnel.
- Maintain regular and effective communication with office and direct manager.
- Relay information and messages to others; maintain confidential information.
- Show awareness and respect for the needs, concerns, and priorities of others.
- Attend all training and actively participate.
- Check all equipment, to ensure good working order for the next day, before leaving at the end of the day.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Aluminum and screen porch experience a MUST.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- US Citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- No more than 1 moving violation in the last 3 years.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
- Use power tools (drill, jigsaw, etc.)
- Read engineering drawings
- Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
- Possess reasoning ability enabling you to understand and carry out detailed written, illustrated, or oral instructions.
- Communicate with all homeowners, subcontractors, and office personnel regarding all phases of construction projects.
- High standard of integrity and professionalism.
- Self-motivated
- Great attention to detail.
- Very good manual dexterity
- Must be fluent in English
- Work well with others
Physical Requirements:
- Enter/exit structures and crawl spaces.
- Climb over and on top of structures.
- Use the required personal protective equipment.
- Lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
Working Conditions:
- Will work predominately in a non airconditioned manufacturing facility.
- Will also work outdoors storage yard around facility in open, unshaded areas.
- May be exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Moderate noise level.
