Production Lead

SSW Premier, LLC, in Portland, TN, is a division of SSW Advanced Technologies, LLC, a global leader in metal forming for the consumer products industry (i.e. oven racks and HVAC unit components, including product finishing).

In this Production Supervisor role you will be required to,

• Conduct daily shift start up meetings at the Production area boards to communicate metric status (i.e. Safety, Quality Delivery, Cost, 5S).
• Review the monthly safety topic daily and complete the required monthly safety training, including signatures of those trained.
• Accountability of workforce to meet Corporate metrics of safety, quality, production, delivery, cost, and 5S.
• Report and investigate all workplace incidents/injuries via the Employee Incident/Injury Report.
• Train and continually monitor new hires via completion of the 30/60/90 day probationary evaluations.
• Familiar with Company policies and procedures and ensuring consistent/fair compliance from self and of all Associates.

• Develop and cross train Associates.
• Make corrective action recommendations and/or administer discipline to Associates.
• Direct manpower to alternate duties per the daily production requirements.
• Must have manufacturing work knowledge.

• Report all Maintenance breakdowns and assist in troubleshooting machinery.
• Complete and route all required paperwork such as Associate schedule changes, Scrap Reporting, and Production Reports.
• Responsible for reporting any unsafe behavior, condition, and/or equipment observed.
• Oversee receiving of raw material, including weight verification, and ensure dispositioned in a timely manner.

• Conduct routine inspections of parts during the shift.

• Participate in inventory.
• Ensure inspected stock put into finished goods in a timely manner.

Qualification:

• Must be 18 years of age.
• HS Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Must attain Forklift certification.

• Must be willing to jump in and support the production line processes to achieve daily targets.
