Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join our team. As an Assistant Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can learn and grow. You will help implement age-appropriate lesson plans, provide individualized instruction, and promote the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child.
Duties:
- Help develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Provide individualized attention to meet the unique needs of each child
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in children
-Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guadians and staff
- Collaborate with parents and staff members to support the development of each child
- Be able to take the lead when the lead teacher is out
- Implement strategies to manage positive behavior effectively
- Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in early childhood education
Qualifications:
- A valid CDA or at least 12 hours of college credit. A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
- Previous experience working with young children
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have good decision-making skills
- Strong classroom management skills
- Experience working with students who have special educational needs, including those on the autism spectrum or with other developmental disabilities
-Is flexible in schedule changes, environment, and willing to adapt to the needs of the school
- Spanish speaking is HIGHLY preferred
