JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education
-
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Must be a registered nurse that is licensed to practice in the state of Arkansas. Evidence of CPR and ACLS certifications or training preferred.

Experience

Critical Care or previous cardiac cath/EP Cath lab experience is desirable or 3-5 years of cardiac experience.

Physical

Normal hospital environment. Exposure to biological hazards. Frequent exposure to unpleasant odors. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Distinguish smells. Distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity. Lifting up to 100 lbs. Carrying up to 40 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 350 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.

JOB SUMMARY
-
Performs as a scrub nurse, circulator or monitor during cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology procedures under the direction of the Cardiologist and/or Radiologist and the supervision of the department manager and/or director. This position requires independent judgment, integrity, initiative and excellent critical thinking skills. RN’s must be available to be on call on a rotating schedule with a response time of 30 minutes for emergent or urgent cases. Incumbents are subject to overtime and call-back as required by the hospital.
