What are the responsibilities and job description for the Practice Manager (Internal Position) position at St. Charles Physician Practice?
The Practice Manager role is to organize, monitor and control the business operations of the Physician Medical Practice and provide overall administration and coordination of department activities and programs, such as, Finance, Administrative, Compliance, Revenue Cycle, Technical/IT and Human Resources in the ambulatory setting. Responsible for maintaining standards of PCMH accreditation for medical office if applicable. Supports four or more physicians and associated support staff in a single or multi location.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High school diploma or GED with concentration of courses in Secretarial Science, Associates Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. In lieu of degree minimum 5 years of experience required.
Skills:
- Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, Database and Power Point required.
- Maintain a working knowledge of PMR/EMR and EPIC.
- Must be flexible and able to work in stressful environment.
Experience:
At least 3 years administrative /clinic management experience; competence in applying general operational and personnel practices, accounting /budgeting principles and coordination of clinic administrative functions.
Salary : $55,300 - $70,000
