SALARY:
$65,000 - $85,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:

• Valid MN Teaching License
• Experience in one or more of the Fine Arts areas

Preferred:

• Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction or related field
• Three years of Fine Arts classroom experience

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Executive Director of Learning and Teaching, the Fine Arts Coordinator is responsible for creating and implementing articulated, vertically aligned Fine Arts programming pre K-12. The Fine Arts Coordinator will work closely with the Elementary and Secondary Curriculum Directors, building content representatives, and vertical team members to provide resources to classroom teachers in planning and delivering instruction that meets the fine arts standards. The Fine Arts Coordinator will facilitate the continued development of fine arts pathways and programming that meets the needs of our diverse student population.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Plans and articulates rigorous preK-12 fine arts curriculum which meet state standards

• Initiates and supports fine arts curriculum review cycle activities, including evaluating, piloting, selection, adoption and ordering of curricular materials
• Fosters an inclusive review & selection of materials to support fine arts curriculum
• Responsible for implementation of changes as related to state standards and assessments
• Ensures alignment of formative and summative assessments and grade reporting across levels in fine arts
• Reviews fine arts data on a regular basis to ensure fine arts success for all students

2. Designs and delivers relevant professional development to staff based on best practices

• Provides consultation to preK-12 teachers and administrators in research and best practices for fine arts education
• Facilitates fine arts vertical teams and meetings of building content reps
• Targets summer work efforts to enhance existing curriculum, program offerings and professional development
• Assists school sites with best practice implementation by providing professional development, coaching and support
• Serves as a resource to schools in their implementation of fine arts programming

3. Serves as a collaborative member of the Teaching and Learning Team

• Supports professional development efforts across all curricular areas as needed
• Works in partnership with local organizations and institutions such as St. Cloud State University and Partner for Student Success
• Maintains current and accurate information on publications, district web page and resources for teachers and families
• Assists in preparing and managing the Teaching and Learning budget for fine arts materials and activities
• Ensures compliance with state mandates, state guidelines, and auditable records

4. Performs related work or other duties as assigned
