Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University, whose mission is to educate and form Franciscan servant leaders of all faiths, is seeking a 12-month full-time faculty member serving in its Physician Assistant (PA) program.

The successful candidate should embrace our mission (https://www.franu.edu/about/mission-values) and will be expected to teach graduate courses in the PA program and engage in professional service and/or scholarship. The PA program is housed within FranU’s School of Health Professions.

An individual who is mission-oriented, broadly trained, committed to student learning, willing to teach a variety of courses, and eager to provide service to both the larger institution and wider community will flourish in this position.

Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is a private, Catholic university founded by the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady with an enrollment of approximately 1,200 students. Salaries are competitive and rank and possible administrative assignment to associate program director/academic coordinator will be commensurate with experience. A designated weekly clinical practice day is arranged with the program director to serve as a supplement to the faculty salary and allows for continued maintenance of contemporary practice.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in Physician Assistant.

2 years experience working as a Physician Assistant

Current board certification

Eligibility to practice in the state of Louisiana

Preferred Qualifications:

Terminal degree in a related field

Knowledge of the Franciscan Intellectual Tradition

Previous teaching experience

Previous preceptor experience #CB
