Audio / Video Technician

Job Type:  Regular, Part Time

FLSA Status:  Non-exempt/Hourly

Schedule:  Weekends and during week as needed 

15 hours per week

Reports to:  Parish Manager

Job Summary:

The Audio / Video Technician will be responsible for the audio and video presentations of Masses and periodic Livestreaming Events.  The applicant should be familiar with the Liturgies, Sacraments and Celebrations of the Catholic Faith and will be required to work weekend Masses and other liturgical celebrations and the Christmas and Easter Seasons.

Essential Job Functions:

• ·Able to operate all audio and video equipment inside of the Church.  This includes Audio Mixers, Microphones, Cameras, and Video Projector Screen equipment.
• ·Films and edits weekly Mass on Thursday afternoons.
• ·Understands the technical aspects of the job and demonstrates advanced operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment and software issues.
• Operates overhead screen presentations for all weekend Masses, and other periodic celebrations.
• Communicates with Priests, Parish Staff and Congregation in a professional and timely manner. 
• Assists with set up and breakdown of media equipment in parish facilities (projectors, sound systems, etc.) and      provide technical support as needed.
• Serves as the Parish Photographer for a  variety of activities and events.
• Helps run media during Vacation Bible School
• Proofreads and edits content from pastor and other staff members when requested.

Position Schedule:

·  Sunday  7:30 am – 2:30 pm, 6:45 pm – 8:15 pm

·  Thursday  1:30 pm – 6:00 pm

·  Saturday  4:30 pm – 6:30 pm

·  Other Events as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High School education or equivalent
• Knowledge of the basic teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Thorough knowledge of the set-up and operations of audio-video equipment, including microphones, projectors, screens, mixers, amplifiers
•  Experience and working knowledge of Social Media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube.
• Sets an example for professional grooming and presentation standards
• Bilingual preferred.
• Effective communicator
• Can work in a Team Setting and take directions from multiple people.
• Able to think quickly and meet deadlines.
