Your Role
The QA Supervisor reports directly to the Manager of Quality Assurance. The Supervisor is responsible to direct the evaluation of VT MAE’s quality system for compliance with the Customer’s and regulatory requirements, evaluating the conformity of activities with respect to these requirements and other quality assurance functions as specified by the Director.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate VT MAE’s procedures and practices for conformance to Customer and regulatory requirements.
• Direct the surveillance of VT MAE activities within a Customer’s program.
• Oversee the documentation of nonconformances using the Corrective Action Reporting (CAR) system.
• Assist those responsible for a nonconformance in the determination of root cause and actions needed to prevent recurrence.
• Direct follow-up audits of completed CARs for effectiveness.
• Periodically review past nonconformances and other data for determination of recurring problems and opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluate VT MAE activities within a Customer’s program to identify potential problems and determine preventive action.
• Assist Training and Production management in the education of employees within a Customer’s program.
• Maintain a QA presence on the hangar floor to encourage good maintenance and safety practices.
• Interface with Customer Representatives as necessary to facilitate program improvements.
• Perform other QA functions as determined by the Quality Director.
