Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting Veterinarians with medical procedures, performing laboratory tests, administering medications, and providing general care for animals. Responsibilities:
- Assist Veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, radiographs and other medical procedures
- Obtain samples and perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal analysis
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by Veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and monitor their vital signs during procedures
- Clean and maintain equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and sanitary environment
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and answer their questions or concerns
- Handle animals with care and compassion to minimize stress and ensure their well-being
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Veterinary Technician
- Knowledge of animal handling techniques and best practices
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and medical procedures
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate nature with a genuine love for animals
