What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at St. Francisville Inn?
The nationally recognized St. Francisville Inn has an immediate opening for a Back Waiter. This is a training position. If successful, the position will lead to a full time Captain level server.
What is a Back Waiter: The Back Waiter answers to the Captain Server. The goal of the Back Waiter is to keep the Captain in the dining room at all times, helping guests. To do this, the Back Waiter will help the Captain and bartenders with duties such as cleaning tables, taking plates, utensils and drinkware to the kitchen to be washed, making sure guests' water glasses are full, and resetting tables for the next service. The Back Waiter may also enter orders into the kitchen order computer. Successful Back Waiters are promoted to Captains at the earliest opening.
Responsibilities:
* Set tables, ensuring utensils & glassware are polished
* Bring plates of food to the tables
* Bring drinks to tables & bottles of wine to Captains
* Keep water glasses full
* Reset tables
* Walk guests to restrooms
* Enter Food & Drink orders into the computer
Requirements:
* Fine dining experience is a definite plus
* Highschool degree
* Able to stand & move quickly
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
