Job Description
Join our team at the St. James Hotel as a Room Attendant, where you will promote a positive image of our property by maintaining cleanliness and presenting a pleasant, honest, and friendly demeanor. Ensure a high standard of guest service and satisfaction by upholding our core values.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Clean guest rooms and public areas, including windows, doors, walls, floors, closets, fixtures, bathrooms, and furniture, following standard operating procedures.
- Maintain cleaning cart and supplies.
- Replenish guest rooms and baths with amenities, supplies, and linens.
- Inspect rooms for repairs or fixtures that are not working properly; replace batteries, light bulbs, etc. Report repair requests to the supervisor or maintenance department.
- Remove trash, dirty linens, and room service items.
- Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties.
- Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
- Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Perform rotation cleaning duties (e.g., steam clean carpets, spring cleaning, super cleaning, etc.) as required.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain quality service by establishing, following, and enforcing organization quality system standards.
- Complete other duties as assigned from time to time by your manager.
Qualifications
- Six to twelve months of related experience/training.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
